About the work:

The work Ensõ Burned ll is made on Japanese hand-made delicate Washi paper, which achieves a particularly rich texture when in contact with paint. The cut rectangular shape gives the work character and depth through the yellow color. The author of the work, Norm Architects designer Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen, reveals his sympathy for the Japanese calligraphy tradition in its purest form - using a brush to apply paint to paper - and nothing else.

The Danish design studio Norm Architects, which was recently awarded the Danish Designers of the Year Award, is known around the world for its minimalist furniture, lighting and accessories.
