Armchair Catch JH14, Hallingdal 65 fabric
Designed by Jamie Hayon, the Catch armchair is like a good friend, ready to hug you with arms outstretched. The designer's creation plays with humor, but at the same time remains a practical seat. The uniform high backrest and extended seat rest on a strong metal frame. The result is a lounge chair at a comfortable angle, which allows the sitter to relax for a long time.
&tradition brand manager Martin Kornbek Hansen comments: 'The more we work with Hayon, the more we can appreciate his ability to add a human and warm element to all his designs. Traditionally it is loungethe chairs had a somewhat solitary character, but the designer succeeded in making the Catch chair more personal and with its nature encouraged a more intimate atmosphere and conversation. This feature makes the chair Danishly cozy.'
According to the designer himself, the armchair should be inviting and almost irresistible. 'I wanted to create a chair that would simply draw the observer to sit and relax and develop a conversation. Two protruding armrests became the defining element, like a good friend welcoming you with joy.
The Catch armchair is available in a wide range of cover materials and colors. This product is the first creation of the renowned fabric company Kvadrat from 1965 - Hallingdal, which has received a new modern color range. The fabric consists of wool and viscose, which support each other perfectly: wool ensures the durability and elasticity of the fabric, viscose allows to give depth to the color tone. Both materials are dyed before weaving - this helps to emphasize the rich texture of the fabric.
The Catch series also includes dining chairs and bar stools, which together form a beautiful set.
